Fire moves fast. Paper does not stand a chance.

A house fire can reach over 1,000 °F within minutes. The Haven Holder™ Fire-Resistant Document Bag gives your birth certificates, passports, wills, and irreplaceable photos one grab-and-go home, with a layer of protection they do not have sitting in a dresser drawer.

What it is

  • Fire-resistant outer construction, sized for documents, folders, small valuables, and hard drives
  • Water-resistant construction that also helps against sprinklers and hose water, which ruin much of what fire misses
  • Collapsible design that tucks into a closet, a safe, or the top of your go-bag
  • Zip closure, so the whole thing leaves the house in one hand

What it is not, and why we are telling you

This is a bag, not a safe. It carries no UL rating, and we are not going to imply that it does.

UL 72 is the recognized US standard for fire-rated record protection. It measures the one thing that actually matters: whether the inside of a container stays below 350 °F while the outside sits in a furnace. A safe that passes earns a label like "Class 350, one hour." That standard was written for insulated safes and file cabinets, and no fabric document bag we are aware of carries it, ours included.

What you will see instead, across this entire category, is a number describing what the outer fabric can take. 1,200 degrees. 2,000 degrees. We found one listing advertising 5,200 degrees. That number describes the cloth, not your paperwork, and nobody publishing it will tell you how hot it got inside the bag. It is a real number attached to a meaningless promise.

So here is the honest version. This bag keeps your documents together, adds real protection against the everyday things that destroy paper, and is ready to leave with you in ten seconds. For the handful of originals you truly cannot replace, a safe deposit box or a UL-rated safe is the better answer, and we will say so even though we sell neither one.

Why we do not say fireproof

Most people searching for something like this type in "fireproof document bag," and we understand why. But no bag is fireproof, and a company that tells you otherwise is selling you a feeling instead of a fact. Fire-resistant is the accurate word, and it is the only one we will use.

  • "So Thoughtfully Designed" - Eric L., Texas

"I bought this for my parents and ended up getting one for myself too. The binder is so well organized, with sections I hadn’t even considered like pet info and digital logins. It’s clear that 2ndVault really thought about what families need in a crisis. Every home should have one."

  • "Essential for Every Family" - Maya R., California

"We recently went through a wildfire scare, and having the HavenHolder ready to go was a lifesaver. It was all there—insurance, IDs, birth certificates, medical records. I can't imagine going through that stress without having this binder prepared ahead of time."
